Kurtis and Sheralyn's relationship began as the ultimate COVID relationship, going 0-100 fast!

Kurtis and Sheralyn met through mutual friends in San Diego, later realizing they had grown up only 30 minutes from each other in northern california. They had crossed paths a few times, but in May, 2020 they hit it off.

On Kurtis's birthday that May, Sheralyn texted him wishing him a happy birthday. Kurtis responded that he was headed to Sacramento to visit family and that he had “an extra seat in his car...” to which Sheralyn responded “wait. when are you leaving.” The following day was Mother's Day, which was a special day for Sheralyn and her sister, so she spontaneously agreed to join him to be able to spend the rest of the weekend with her sister. They spent 8 hours in the car together, talking nonstop about everything, had their first date at Panda Express (because COVID times), and the rest is history. Little did they know this would be the first of many impromptu adventures together.

In 2020, kurtis was living in san diego and sheralyn in newport beach. they would spend weekends together in san diego, and weekdays in Newport since kurtis could work remotely. after a year of back and forth, in 2021, kurtis convinced sheralyn to move back to northern california to be close to family.

On kurtis and sheralyn's two year dating anniversary in 2022, they purchased 10 acres in El Dorado Hills. against their better judgment, they moved into a 5th - wheel trailer on the property and began working on the land. if anyone can spend 10months in a trailer raising a puppy and kitten together, they can make it a lifetime... right? they cannot wait to live and raise a family on this piece of land where they have already made so many memories.

Kurtis proposed in 2023 on a beach in Maui, knowing Hawaii is one of Sheralyn's favorite places. After over a year of procrastinating the wedding planning, they cannot wait to get married on Oahu and to be surrounded by all their loved ones!
